LUIS FONSI

• Initially molded as a traditional Latin balladeer, one who sings romantic songs with much dramatic flair over sweeping string arrangements, Luis Fonsi enjoyed much success as such, though he began to break from that mold steadily, beginning with Paso a Paso in 2005, and enjoyed even greater success and more critical acclaim as a result. Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Orlando, FL, Fonsi dove into show business at a young age.

• Luis Fonsi really experienced a true love story. Why you may ask? Well it all started when he gave Adamaris Lopez, an actress, a call in 2001 to ask her to get to know her, but when she came to visit she was with her boyfriend of that moment. This broke Fonsis' heart. Two years later, Adamaris was in the audience of one of his shows, by the which he considered to be the best one of his life. Afterward they got to know each other, little by little fell in love. Sadly to say by 2005 the doctors found out that Adamaris had breast cancer and you might think that any other man would up and go, but not Fonsi. He stayed by her side through thick and thin. Later on by early 2006, thanks to God, Adamaris announced that she was able to fight the cancer completely. Then finally by June they got married and sincerely since they got together in 2001 you would be able to see that they have so much love for each other. It's just a wonderful sight.

• On his sixth album, Palabras del Silencio, Luis Fonsi continues to establish himself as one of Latin pop's most accomplished vocalists, one who is not only popular but creative.
  

• Tour for "Palabras del Silencio" will start with Puerto Rico on February 13 and 14 of 2009.

This music video is absolutely beautiful. It's in Spanish, I know, but what the lyrics say it's absolutely beautiful and loving. He's just saying that no matter what, he's not giving up. That's exactly what he did with Adamaris the year that she was battling cancer. They didn't give up in no way, and they were able to get through the situation. I know I'm not the only only that this song made cry, it was so sweet.
